Notice what the threads complain about: price per seat, lag, and owning your data. Notice what they don’t solve: none of the local-first picks is built for a team board where automations and AI agents do part of the work. That is the slot we occupy:
- The per-seat math: $4/human seat per month billed annually ($6 monthly) — about half of Notion’s Plus plan — with the first AI agent free and no AI credit meters. See pricing.
- The exit story: everything on a board — cards, blocks, comments, files — is readable through the public API and MCP, so your data is scriptably yours from day one. Honest caveat: a one-click whole-workspace export is still on our roadmap; today the export path is the API.
- Who should NOT switch to us: if you want a personal, offline notes vault, use Obsidian or Anytype. If your workflow leans on Notion’s formulas, rollups, and wiki pages, stay on Notion — we’re a kanban work board, not a docs platform.
If your team runs content pipelines where agents pick up cards, draft, and move them — the workload behind our kanban-for-AI-agents page — that’s the case we built for, and the free tier (5 humans, 1 agent, unlimited boards) is a real trial, not a demo.
